Wesleyan Track & Field Competes at Fastrack National Invite

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Wesleyan University men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Fastrack National Invite on Friday. The men and women each claimed one top-five finish.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Kyron Roberts placed third in the 400m with a time of 50.33.
  • Noah Olsen secured sixth place in the high jump with a height of 1.84m.
  • Other impressive Cardinal performances include 12th place finishes by Kevin DeLoughry in the 400m, Grant Van Inwegen in the mile run, and Thomas Doyle in the 5000m. DeLoughry finished in 50.01, Van Inwegen finished in 4:22.08, and Doyle finished in 15:30.75.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Grace Devanny secured second place in the 400m with a time of 56.54 and ninth in the 200m with a time of 25.65.
  • Sara Pinsonault placed seventh in the 3000m with a time of 10:37.77.
  • Becky Velie placed ninth in the 800m, finishing in 2:22.04.
  • A pair of freshmen Cardinals performed well on the day, as Mariah Saunders finished tenth in the mile run with a time of 5:13.15, while Erika Kluge also placed tenth in the pole vault with a height of 2.90m.

  • The Cardinals will compete in the Last Chance Meet in New York City next Friday, Feb. 21.
