Wesleyan Competes at Cupid Challenge Hosted by Tufts

MEDFORD, Mass. – The Wesleyan men's and women's track and field teams competed in the Tufts Cupid Challenge on Saturday. The men and women claimed four top-five finishes apiece.

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Christian Denny placed third in the 60m with a time of 7.08 and fifth in the 200m with a time of 23.37.
  • Kyron Roberts secured fifth place in the 600m, finishing in 1:24.18.
  • Grant Van Inwegen finished second in the 1000m with a time of 2:34.18.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Ivie Uzamere won the weight throw with a distance of 16.93m.
  • Grace Devanny placed second in the 400m and fourth in the 200m with times of 58.22 and 26.11, respectively.
  • Becky Velie came in fourth place in the 800m with a time of 2:20.63.

  • Next weekend, the Cardinals will compete in the Fastrack National Invite in Staten Island, N.Y.
