Women's Squash Defeats William Smith, 8-1

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. — The Wesleyan University women's squash team defeated William Smith College Friday night in the first round of the Wesleyan Round Robin, 8-1. With the victory, the Cardinals improve to 1-1 on the season.


  • Wesleyan comfortably took all but one match at No. 8, with the new top spot, Aditi Prasad '21, collecting her first win on the season to put her team back on the right track.

  • From No. 2 to No. 6, Ananya Vir  '21, Nina Premutico '20, Natasha Feenstra '21, Ali Imperiale '19 and Ale Lampietti '19 also got their first wins, with Lampietti only dropping nine points as she rolled to an 11-0, 11-6, 11-3 victory.

  • At No. 7 and 9, freshmen Annie Roach and Sydney Kim collected their first collegiate victories.


  • The Cardinals will continue to play at home over the weekend, where they will be facing No. 21 Franklin & Marshall, No. 17 Dickinson and Bard.
