    MIDDLETOWN, Connecticut – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (6-6-1, 0-5-1) suffered a 3-1 loss against visiting No. 2 Middlebury on Saturday. With the win, the Panthers (10-0-2, 5-0-1) extended their unbeaten streak to 12 as they remain the only team in Division III without a loss.

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Knotted at 1-1 heading into the third period, the No. 2 Middlebury women’s hockey team scored twice to top Wesleyan 3-1 on Friday night. With the victory, the Panthers (9-0-2, 4-0-2) improve extend their unbeaten streak to 11, while the Cardinals fall to 6-5-1 overall and 0-4-1 in conference play. The teams play their second game of the series on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. in Middletown, Conn.

The Cardinals took a 1-0 early edge and never trailed, as they extended their unbeaten streak to four. First-year Caroline Jenkins tallied the equalizer with her first career goal.

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team opened the new year with a 4-1 victory over Post (6-14-0) on Saturday evening. The Cardinals are coming off of their best first-semester start since the 1998 season and carried the momentum into the new year as they improve to 5-3-0.

The conference introduces Allegra Grant of Wesleyan, an Earth and Environmental science major, and a member of the women's ice hockey and lacrosse teams.

With the win, the Cardinals improve to 4-3 overall and have won all seven meetings against the Panthers. Wesleyan has been led by a breakout performance from Audrey McMahon, as the sophomore has scored a conference-leading seven goals.

    BOSTON, Mass. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team cruised to a 5-1 victory at Suffolk on Saturday evening. The meeting was the first between the Cardinals and the Rams, as the two teams will play again tomorrow. With the victory, Wesleyan improves to 2-2-0, while Suffolk falls to 2-6-2.
  • Wesleyan Edges Salve Regina in Home Opener

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (1-2-0) edged Salve Regina 3-2 in its home opener on Tuesday evening. The Seahawks (1-6-0) scored twice in the third to cut the deficit to one, but Wesleyan was able to hang on to earn its first win of the season. It was the 14th meeting between the two teams, as the Cardinals extended their win streak to four-straight against the Seahawks to knot the series at seven victories apiece.

    BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Wesleyan women’s hockey team (0-1-0. 0-1-0) suffered a 4-3 overtime loss at Bowdoin (1-0-0, 1-0-0) in its season opener on Friday evening. The teams will square off again tomorrow in the second game of the series at 3:00 p.m.
  • Women’s Hockey Earns AHCA All-American Scholar Awards

    MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Eleven members of the Wesleyan women’s ice hockey team were tabbed All-American Scholars by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) earlier this month. The organization recognizes varsity ice hockey players who attained a 3.6 GPA each semester and participated in 40% of their school’s games in the 2018-19 season.
