MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Sarah Osborn and Allison Quintana of Wesleyan women's crew have been named All-Americans by the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA). Osborn was named to the First Team, while Quintana earned Second Team laurels. In all, only 18 athletes in Division III earned the prestigious honor.
In order to be nominated for the All-America Team, the student-athlete must have rowed in at least 75% of the season's races in the varsity boat. The selection criteria takes into consideration the boat's strength of schedule, their regular season record, and their end of season regatta results.
Osborn and Quintana helped lead Wesleyan to its greatest finish ever at the NCAA Division III Women's Rowing Championships as the Cardinals claimed fourth overall. It also marked Wesleyan's fourth straight trip to the national postseason regatta and second consecutive as a team.
The duo also excelled in the classroom and were both recently named CRCA National Scholar-Athletes and NIRC All-Academic Team selections.
