NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – The Wesleyan men’s and women’s track and field teams competed at the Mary Grinaker Invitational at Smith College on Saturday.
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men’s and women’s track and field teams hosted the Little Three Championship on Saturday afternoon. Amherst won on the men’s side, snapping Williams’ 31-year streak with just two points, while the Ephs were victorious on the women’s side for the 35-straight year.
MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Wesleyan men’s and women’s indoor track and field teams hosted in-state NESCAC rival Connecticut College on Friday night in its season and home opener. The meet did not have team scoring, and only featured a selection of track events.
The Wesleyan men’s track and field team was honored by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCA) for its cumulative grade point average of 3.60, while three Cardinals earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors. To qualify for the USTFCCA All-Academic Track & Field team as an individual, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 and have me either of the following athletic standards. He or she must have competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship, or finished the regular season ranked in the national top 50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top 35 in a relay event.
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Kevin DeLoughry, Andrew McCracken and Kevin McMorrow of the Wesleyan men’s track and field team were represented on the United Stats Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region squads, as announced by the committee following the conclusion of the regular season. The top-five individuals in every event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to all members of the region’s top-three relay teams.
