Thaw was named to the Second Team Defense while Jenkins was named to the Third Team Offense. It's the first all-region accolade for both athletes.
Thaw has piled up several postseason accolades. The Westport, Conn. native was also named to the New England Football Writers College Division II/III All-New England Team, was an All-NESCAC First Team Defense selection, and was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team®. He excelled in his final season donning the Cardinal uniform as he led the conference in interceptions (5), pass break-ups (9), and blocked kicks (2). He also finished fourth on the team in tackles (40) and returned an interception for a touchdown.
Jenkins was a stalwart on the offensive line this year as his strong performance up front helped the Cardinals boast one of the NESCAC's top offenses. Wesleyan ranked third in passing (234.9 ypg), fourth in scoring (28.1 ppg) and rushing (143.9 ypg), and fifth in total offense (378.8 ypg).
Thaw and Jenkins helped guide the Cardinals to one of their best seasons in the 137-year history of Wesleyan football as the team went 8-1 while claiming the Little Three title outright.
