Estevez joins Ashton Scott and Matthew Simco as offensive player of the week award winners, while Danny Banks was named the defensive player of the week, and Mason Von Jess earned special teams player of the week twice.

The sophomore dual-threat quarterback was excellent yesterday and factored in to all four Wesleyan touchdowns as the Cardinals defeated Williams in overtime, 27-21. With the victory, Wesleyan secured the Little Three title outright for the third time in the past seven seasons. Estevez helped lead the Cardinals as he went 3 of 4 passing for 67 yards and a 52-yard touchdown, rushed six times for 38 yards and two scores, caught three passes for 13 yards, and returned three kickoffs for 123 yards including a 94-yard score. He also punted once for 38 yards.

After Williams scored to go ahead 14-7 with just 53 seconds remaining in the first half, Estevez returned the kickoff 94 yards to the house to even the score at halftime. He later scored the game-tying touchdown with a two-yard run as 17 seconds remained on the clock. After Wesleyan's defense stopped Williams in overtime, the sophomore took the first snap for the Cardinals and rushed 25 yards for the score to win the game in front of a packed crowd on Homecoming Weekend.

Estevez ranks ninth in the NESCAC in all-purpose yards, averaging 96.1 per game, and the Cardinals own a 7-1 record for the first time since 2014.
