Eudice Chong and Victoria Yu Win ITA Oracle Cup Women’s Doubles Title

ROME, Ga. – Eudice Chong '18 and Victoria Yu '19 of the Wesleyan University women's tennis team continue to roll, as the duo won the 2017 ITA Oracle Cup Women's Doubles Championship Sunday by defeating Hanna Volikova and Alina Kislitskaya of the University of Indianapolis by scores of 6-4, 6-2. With the win, Chong and Yu earn a berth to the ITA Fall National Championships which will take place Nov. 1-5 at the JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, Calif.

On Saturday, Chong and Yu won the Division III doubles title over Ysabel Gonzelez Rico and Bridget Harding of Emory University by marks of 6-1, 6-1. The win advanced the duo to the four-team bracket which featured the Division II, Division III, NAIA and JuCo winners. Chong and Yu faced off against the NAIA winners, Megane Bianco and Daniela Farfan of Keiser University and won 6-1, 6-2 to set up the finals matchup this morning against Division II winners, Volikova and Kislitskaya.

Additionally, Chong claimed the Division III Oracle Cup Women's Singles Championship yesterday with a win over Gonzalez Rico 6-2, 6-0.
