The No. 5 nationally-ranked Wesleyan University men’s tennis team was edged by No. 7 Washington University in St. Louis, 5-4, on Tuesday afternoon in the third-place match at the Stag-Hen Invitational hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps.
The No. 5 nationally-ranked Wesleyan University men’s tennis team went 1-1 in its first competition of the spring on Monday, defeating No. 15 Trinity University 6-3 in the morning before falling 9-0 to No. 2 Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in the afternoon. Both matches were part of the Stag-Hen Tournament, an annual eight-team event that is hosted by Claremont-Mudd-Scripps and Pomona-Pitzer.
