Lambros Leads Wesleyan on Day 1 of Duke Nelson Invite

MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – Senior captain Zach Lambros '18 shot a 77 to lead the Wesleyan University golf team on Day 1 of the Duke Nelson Invitational at the Ralph Myhre Golf Course.

INVITATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Lambros is currently tied for 52nd overall. His score of 77 is two strokes better than his carding of 79 on the first day of competition last year.
  • Brian Gerner '18 was Wesleyan's second-best finisher today, shooting an 85.
  • Williams College combined for a 287 after day one, with Babson College in second with a 289.
  • The NESCAC had a great showing on Day 1, with Williams (1st), Trinity (3rd), and Tufts (5th) scoring in the top 5.
